Issue Position: Jobs & Growth

Issue Position

ECONOMIC GROWTH
There is a correlation between economic freedom and prosperity. We must reform the tax structure to help small businesses, families and individuals in South Carolina. By lowering taxes, SC will be even more competitive. Offering lower taxes via fee in lieu of tax agreements is how we attract industrial growth. Big business gets incentives via FILOT agreements. The better and more competitive incentive for economic growth is allowing businesses and individuals to have more control over their own resources and property.

Government often lacks the critical insight to make the best economic decisions, therefore the people should always be able to control their own resources.

WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT
The number one need for businesses and companies in South Carolina is a qualified workforce. Technical and Trade Skilled Schools are critical to the success of our region. I will work toward ensuring that we have competitive initiatives that will help ensure workers get the skills needed to get the job. This is critical to the success of the people of our community.
